#1 Nexon to build call center in Jeju Nexon, a Korean gaming corporation and leading online game developer announced it plans to open a customer call center for its subsidiary, Nexon SD in Jeju in July. The Jeju call center will provide all aspects of customer services from game consulting to monitoring service.
The center will be located in Nohyeong-dong, Jeju City. The Nexon SD company charged with online game distribution and service plans to hire 50 employees who will handle inbound calls. Nexon Corporation is famous for games which include Kart Rider and Crazy Arcade, and it accounts for the most sales in the domestic game industry. The holding company of the firm relocated to Jeju in March. Its headquarters are located in Seoul, Korea.
#2 Daum Communications, a major internet portal company in Korea, confirmed its decision in a shareholders' meeting to relocate its headquarters as early as next year to Jeju Science Park. Jeju expects that once the front-runners in the IT industry start conducting business in the island, Jeju would emerge as the center of the IT industry in the future, promoting employment and income.
