Tin Moe Lwin, 1996 Miss Myanmar, and 2011 Miss Myanmar Tourism Competition winner Khin Yu Pa, visited Jeju province on July 23 and expressed their willingness to publicize Jeju and Jeju’s N7W campaign in Myanmar as honorary ambassadors.
On the ambassadors’ behalf, Tin Moe Lwin said, “Even though we’ve been here in Jeju for a short time, [I feel] Jeju is well qualified to be a New7Wonder. Myanmar people are widely informed by the Korean wave of dramas and K-pop groups and have a good feeling towards Korea. I will promote Jeju not only in Myanmar, but also in Southeast Asia.”
She added, “I am acting as an entertainer and M.C. for all kinds of big events now, so when I return to Myanmar, I will inform Travel Magazine, a Myanmarese magazine which is distributed throughout the country, of my visit to Jeju, and I will write an article about Jeju’s New7Wonders challenge, to introduce the global tourist city Jeju and promote its campaign.”
“When I marry in the future, I will choose Jeju as my honeymoon spot,” she said.
