The past week has seen two big changes to Jeju United’s roster.
On Jan. 16 United signed Brazilian Robert de Pinho de Souza (30) for an undisclosed amount while the K-League team is practising in Shenzhen, China.
Striker Robert de Pinho has previously played with Park Ji Sung (Manchester United FC) and Lee Young Pyo (Vancouver Whitecaps FC) during a one-year stint in 2005 with Netherlands-side PSV Eindhoven before being loaned to Real Betis Balompié, Seville, Spain.

During his 13-year soccer career he has made 279 appearances totaling 108 goals with 19 teams. He has represent his home country twice in 2003 playing for the Brazil U-20 and U-23 squads.
“I have played in many different countries, like the Netherlands and Spain, but I think Jeju is the best. The weather and environment is suited for sports,” said de Pinho.
The inking of de Pinho followed the signing of Australian defender Adrian Anthony Madaschi (29) for an undisclosed amount on Jan 13.

The six-foot three-inch center back started his career at the age of 15 playing for the Italian-side Atalanta B.C. During his 14-year career Madaschi has played in Italy, Scotland, and Australia where he has made 240 appearances tallying 6 goals. He has represented Australia four times on the international stage.
“I have come to Jeju in 2004 as a member of the Australian Olympic Team. I have played in Italy for many years, but not many teams are equipped with a high-quality club house and training facilities. Coach Park Kyung Hoon has profound knowledge on soccer. I’m really happy to be a part of Jeju United FC,” said Madaschi.
The 2012 K-League will kickoff on March 3.
On March 4 at 3 p.m., the Jeju United will play against Incheon at Jeju World Cup Stadium. |
