Danger Man

No.10 Robert

After going through a goalless March, Robert came out of April with three goals, including the winner last game against Gyeongnam. Robert is a big boy and knows how to use his body, especially in the box.

No.9 Éverton Santos

The league’s highest goal scorer with 7 in only 10 games, Santos will definitely be trying to pull his team out of 10th place. The Brazilian has a hotfoot and has a knack for getting goals when his team really needs it.

Jeju 10/11

Overview

Don’t let the fact that Seongnam are in 10th place mean very much. On top of the 10 games they have played this K-League season, they have competed in an additional 5 in the Asian Football Confederation's Champions League where they sit in the top of their division with 4 draws and a win. Though a better team than their numbers show, this works in Jeju’s favor since Chunma just played Nagoya Grampus of the J1 League in Japan on May 1. With a win, Seongnam could be back into the top 8 depending on how the other teams fare this weekend.

It’s a good thing that Seongnam has god on its side, because Jeju has been pretty solid as of late and haven’t played since last weekend. Fresh legs and confidence should take them far. Jeju need the 3 points though to stay in 2nd. With Ulsan tied with 21 points and Jeju edging them out based on goal differential, Ulsan is hoping to knock off Chunnam this Sunday, which they should. If both Jeju and Ulsan win, it will be the same story next week: Ulsan and Jeju neck and neck. Jeju is in contention to take first away from Suwon with a win, but it is unlikely since the Bluewings take on last placed Daejeon who have only 3 points off a single win this season.

If Jeju can contain Santos and get their Santos, Santos Jr., the ball in the box, things should be looking good for the Orange. They are playing away though, and it seems like they have gotten that side of the game under control, but who knows what can happen.

Weekly prediction is Jeju 2-1

Kickoff is at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 5 at Seongnam Tancheon Sports Complex.
