The monthly art magazine Misulsegae in cooperation with Kim Mandeok Memorial is holding an exhibition Aug. 22 – 30 as a celebration of its 25th foundation anniversary under the theme of “Light of Jeju” at Hangaram Art Museum, Seoul Arts Center in Seocho-dong.

The exhibition commemorates Jeju native Kim Mandeok’s notable contribution of her entire assets to Jeju people in Joseon Dynasty when the disastrous famine struck on Jeju.

The exhibition focuses mainly on “Jeju” and “contribution” as its primary themes and 60 invited Jeju artists all donated their major art works that totaled 126 pieces. As part of the event, all profits from the exhibition will directly go to the needy.
