Having sat out for the 3-1 loss to Jeonbuk Motors on Wednesday, and coming off a three-week break, Robert should be more than rested for this match. His size and physical play will be an asset against Suwon. Also, in Jeju’s come-from-behind victory over Suwon on March 24, Robert scored United’s tying goal in the second half. He’s going to want to put another notch on his belt.
No.10 Dženan Radončić
With 7 goals this season, the Montenegrin striker has constantly been a threat. With going goalless since May 5 when he scored on a penalty against Daejeon, he is going to try and put his team up early.
Odds (Source oddschecker.com)
Suwon Samsung Bluewings FC 11/13, Draw 5/2
Last result between these two teams for the 2012 K-League season: March 24, Jeju United win 2-1 with goals by Robert (57’) and Seo Dong Heyon (90+). Suwon’s striker Éverton opened up the scoring in the first half (29’).
With Jeju coming off their worst performance of the season (3-1 loss to Jeonbuk Motors on June 13), they will be looking to regain their composure this Sunday, June 17 away against the second place Suwon Bluewings.
This is a big game for both teams. Suwon look to overtake first place FC Seoul with the win, that is if Seoul lose to Pohang Steelers that same day.
Jeju are tenuously in forth now due to losing two of their last five games. They are only one point ahead of Ulsan Hyundai Horang-1. Ulsan take on 11th place Gyeongnam, so expect if Jeju loses to Suwon, they will slip from fourth to fifth.
Suwon have been having huge wins as of late and haven’t lost at home since July 23 of last year. This is going to be a tough game for Jeju and the cards say United will be leaving Suwon World Cup Stadium with their first back-to-back losses of the 2012 K-League, but stranger things have happened.
Jeju Weekly prediction 3-2 for United. They will be pulling out all the stops.
Kickoff is 7 p.m., June 17 from Suwon World Cup Stadium.
