From 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Aug. 19, Woljeongri Blues, an eco-friendly festival, will be held at the Will be a Whale Café, Jeju City, under the slogan “Let’s live together with the earth, us.”
Hosted by the café to help protect the environment, singers will perform without lighting or microphones to reduce the use of energy and all food and beverages will be served without the use of disposable products.
Bang Seoul Cheong, Tae Hee Aun, Gravity-free Boy, By U, Jari-jeot Band, Ramu, Jeong In Ho will perform along with Korean traditional dancers and percussion musicians. Lee Doo Won, who currently works on Lee Jung Seop Street in Seogwipo City will exhibit his artwork.
There will be a flea market, a chance to try your hand at kayaking, and a henna tattoo booth. When the skies are aglow with the setting sun, both artists and participants will come together to clean beach.
The cost of admission will be a bag of garbage from the beach cleanup.
