Walking the Artist’s Walkway (part of the 2nd Seogwipo Culture Art Festival) Period: Until Sept. 15, every Saturday and Sunday, 1 p.m. Location: Lee Jung Seop Street and other places in Seogwipo City Course: the Lee Jung Seop Park - the Lee Jung Seop Gallery - the Kidang Gallery - the Chilsimni Poetry Park - the Seobok Exhibition Hall - the Soam Memorial Museum (4.3 km long) It takes three and a half hours to complete. Jeju Olle Trails Safety Rules - It is recommended for those hiking alone to start after 9 a.m. - Call the Jeju Olle hotline at 064-762-2190 (Korean only) before you walk less popular trails. - Memorize emergency numbers: Police 112, Jeju Olle hotline 064-762-2190. - Finish hiking before 6 p.m. in the summer, 5 p.m. in the winter. - If you hike alone, call your friends or family frequently and notify them of your location. - When hiking on roadways, keep as far off the road as possible. - Avoid going near steep valleys and cliffs along the trails. - Check the location information printed on the Olle horse-shaped signs and remember the sign number and remaining distance to the end of the Olle path. - Female hikers should stay at women-only guesthouses or certified establishments. - Research and learn as much about the Jeju Olle trails as possible before hiking.
