The opening ceremony for Jeju’s newest Olle course took place Sept. 26 at Joeji Village Center. The ceremony featured a special “Olle song” composed by singer Lee Doo-hun, which included a message of love to all the participants present. Participants also has fun learning and joining in with the song.
Olle 14, begins at Joeji Village and passes through Hankyung, Hallim, Wolryeong Port, Geumneung Beach, Hyeopjae, and Ongo Port before culminating at Biyang Island Ferry Terminal. The 18km course also encompasses an area designated as an official natural monument; a place where many local varieties of Barbary fig are known to grow. In December, Olle course 15 is expected to open.
