The 2013 Jeju Horse Festival will be held at Gasi-ri (village) located at the end of Noksan-ro. The spring canola flower and cherry blossom mean the road is regarded as one of the 100 most beautiful in Korea.
From the Joseon Dynasty, the best horses for the Joseon King were reared on the pastures at Gasi-ri. The Gasi-ri Common Pastures have been used for 600 years and here you can glimpse how the the horses and cows were reared in yesteryear.
The pasture has kept its original boundaries and by participating in the festival you can understand village culture and contribute to the local economy. This festival promises fond memories for family, friends and villagers, alike.
