The 6th Jeju Haevichi Art Festival is held from June 3 to June 5 with the theme "sympathizing culture, communicating art" at Haevichi Resort, Jeju Culture and Art Center and all across Jeju.
It celebrates six years this year and is hosted by the Korea Culture and Art Committee. It is the biggest such event in Jeju and includes various art markets, showcases and symposiums.
The event is hosted by the singer Yooyeol and ballerina Kim Ju-won and opened at Jeju Haevichi Resort Grand Ballroom. The opening ceremony was a Jeju traditional performance 'Odolttogi' performed by Japari Institute. In the showcase from June 4-5, there will be "Reading Sukyoungnangja jeon," "Jeongeupsa," and also creative opera "Daradara."
In addition to this, there are special events from May 31-June 8. At Jeju Culture and Art Center, Jeju Art Center and Halla Art Hall there will be the performances "Lost crown prince," "Snow in March," "Traditional music to the new world," and "Children's music concert: cloud bread." All are welcome to the festival. |
