In jeju, there are a special event. Beach volleyball is biggest event among the expat’s events. There was a person who loved Jeju. And he married to a Jeju woman. But he died because of meningitis. His wife and children only were left. So his friends started to help them with this event.
Jeju Furey which named from his name was made in 2009. They also help poor people in Jeju island. Now they helped handicapped people and children who lost their family.
And they make money about 50,000,000 won at this event. May 26th , around 160 people joined. “You can join if you give 40000 won.” said by one of the participants in the event. Everyone can join to this event.
And there are four part of this game A,B,C,D. A is for high level and D is for beginner. This event was held once in every six months. Brenna Mcnamara who is 25 years old from U.S., said “This is very fun and it’s good to meet people! This is frist time to participate Jeju furey.” She joined because her friends introduce this game.
Jeju Furey holds many kinds of events every year such as sports contest, badminton and so on.
