Jeju Techno Park opened the Magma Sea Water Industrialization Support Center in the Jeju Magma Sea Water Industry Complex, July 24.
Seawater naturally filtered through Jeju’s magma rock is Jeju’s unique water resource. The water flows through the local bedrock before flowing into an underground reservoir. The water source was approved for its reliability, cleanliness and functionality and the water will be used in beverages, foods, and cosmetics.
Jeju Technopark Magma Seawater Business Complex also hosted a symposium with the Korea Institute of Science and Technology at the Ramada Hotel on July 23. The symposium aimed to support the local magma seawater industry.

Experts were invited to discuss future industry strategy as the new brand was unveiled. It is hoped that the magma seawater industry will create many business opportunities in Jeju.
A Jeju Techno Park employee said, “With the growth of the manufacturing business and related businesses, this will contribute greatly to the development of regional industry.”
