On October,19th our JDC journailst had trip to 4·3 peace park. What did you think about 4·3 Massacre when you here it? Do you feel sad or gloomy? But you can’t be more sad or gloomy than the 4·3 massacre’s victims.
The JDC journalists interviewed Mr. Kim Chul, age 73. He told the journalists about his story. It was 1947 and he was 7 years old. He and his family had to escape to the mountain. They ran and ran and suddenly they heard gunfire. His family was shocked because his uncle took a bullet to the head. He was also shot in the arms. He looks sad and angry about what the soldiers did when he talks about the story.
He mention that the movie “Jiseul” reflects just a small part of the 4·3 Massacre. The real 4·3 Massacre was terrible and horrible.
When walking through the museum, people can see a lot of photos and think ‘We have to think about 4·3 Massacre more deeply and spread the story to people.’
