Nowadays Jeju is growing as an international island. As the free international city, jeju has been performing lots of projects in various international fields such as tourism, trade business, education and more. Jeju’s local government has put a lot of effort into international education. As the result, the local government built the Jeju Global Education City in Daejung eup, Seogwipo city. Since 2008, 3 international schools opened in the Jeju Global Education City persuing the goal to make jeju the center of Korea’s English education and Northest Asia’s education hub.

Branksome Hall Asia (BHA) is one of the international schools built in the Jeju Global Education City . Founded in 2012, Branksome Hall Asia is the first sister school of Branksome Hall , a 110-year old independent girls’ school in Canada ,considered a ‘dream scool’ due to its19% global Ivy League entrance rate. BHA provides IB (International Baccalaureate)programs from Kindergarten to Senior School.,IB program, degree in international certification system is divided into 3 systematic curriculms PYP(The IB Primary Years Program), MYP(The IB Middle Years Program), DP(The IB Diploma Program).

Gren Radojkovich , the BHA principal said “ According our school’s motto ‘be remarkable’ ,Teachers want students to find the field they are good at and try to encourage students to find and improve their potentials in fields like art, music, science and so on by extra curriculactivities such as service volunteering nationally and globally, art, athletics like swimming, archery and clubs. This is the part of teachers’ missions challenging and inspiring students.”

“Our school also performs students exchange proram regularly. Some of the students from Branksome Hall in Canada come to Branksome Hall Asia and students from BHA go to Branksome Hall to experience differenties in education, culture, language and more. It works actively and positively for students to get lots of experiences” the principal added.

Among almost 600 students, only 56 stuents are international students from China, America,Singapore ect. To make Jeju Global Education City center of Korea’s English education, Northest Asia’s education hub, the local government and BHA has to promote its schools actively and collect more international students and to create student and leaders that have a global mind and to establish an educational community like the school’s vision. BHA has to focus on how to teach students to become global leaders.

Jeju needs global talant leaders and BHA is putting efforts to grow global talent leaers a lot. The BHA graduates are expected to be global leader and BHA is also expected to be dream school everyone wants to go and make Jeju Global Education City the center of Korea’s English educaion , North Asia’s educaion hub like jeju local government wants .
