Jeju Foreign Language High School (principal: Kim Changwook) signed an admission agreement with Ritsumeikan University, Japan, on May 23 to ease the entry requirements for students of Jeju Foreign Language High School.
Graduates of the Jeju school can now enter the university with official language results from Korea alone, alongside a teacher's recommendation. Prior to the agreement students were required to take the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU).
The Jeju students are likely to gain an advantage in admissions through this simplified process to study at the main campus in Kyoto, which also provides dormitory, scholarship and other support for foreign students.
