Jeju Special Self-Governing Province and Jeju Weekly will open the International Youth Cyber Enviornmental Forum in September. This forum will be held in Korean and English online. Before this forum opens, the middle and high school student applicants will have offline meetings for preparation. Student participants will be teamed up to prepare their own proposals.
We need one English native speaker who can attend this preparation program to mentor the students on their English. All teams need to summarize their proposals in English on one piece of A4. There will be a maximum of 15 teams. Tips and guidance on mentoring will be provided beforehand.

* Your responsibilities are:
1. To attend all of the program and advise (including mentoring) on writing proposals.
2. To edit English proposals online and/or offline.
3. To evaluate the proposals according to the marking sheet.

Offline program introduction
* Work hours and dates: Aug. 4, 6 and 8 (three days): 2:30 p.m. ~ 6 p.m. (10.5 hours total)
* Students program time: 3 ~ 5:30 p.m. (2.5 hours on each day)
* Participants; 30 middle and high school students from Jeju
* Location: 10th floor Jeju Venture Maru building, Jeju City Hall area.
* Proposed program schedule
Aug. 4 (first day)
3 ~ 4 p.m.- Korean mentors' lectures and questions
4 ~ 4:40 p.m. - Teaming up and team-building
4:40 ~ 5:30 p.m. - Developing the students' proposals and homework for the second meeting
Aug. 6 (second day)
3 ~ 4:30 p.m. - Team discussions and proposal writing. Both Korean and English mentors will help the teams.
4:30 ~ 5:30 p.m. - English mentors will mentori students and edit the team propsals. If time is not sufficient, some online editing might be necessary before Aug. 8.
Aug. 8(3rd date) :
3 ~ 4 p.m. - Preparation of team presentations
4 ~ 5:30 p.m. - Teams present a summary in Korean and English
5:30 ~ 6 p.m. - English and Korean mentors evaluate the program
* Program type
We will divide the students into small teams according to their English ability. If participants have enough English fluency they will discuss and prepare their work in English. Your responsibility is to participate in their discussions and help them direct their proposals. Korean language teams also need to prepare an English summary page. If you have any experience with environmental issues it could help. However, it is not an essential condition for this position.
