Jeju Convention & Visitors Bureau confirms that the Asian Conference on Plant Pathology 2017 (ACCP 2017) will be held on Jeju.
ACCP 2017 is expected to attract 1,000 pathologists from about 30 countries and to ensure it was brought to Jeju JCVB and the Korean Society of Plant Pathology (KSPP) held various promotional activities at the 5th ACCP in Chiang Mai, Thailand from Nov. 3 to 6.
The activities included manning a booth explaining Jeju’s resort-type MICE facilities and its excellent MICE infrastructure, tour resorces, and environment.
The conference has been held in many of the major cities of Asia in years past such as Beijing and Singapore and also Australia. When it arrives in Jeju in September, 2017 it is expected to be a good opportunity to boost the local agriculture through advances in technology and research.
A major factor in Jeju’s success was its reputation as an international MICE venue and the attraction of no-visa entry from 180 countries.
