This month Captain Clean will be out on the last Sunday of the month. (In the event of rain it will be postponed until the following Sunday.)
This event is supported by Jeju Pass who will be providing flower bags for the event. Clean up and then plant the flower.
There are also 30 Jeju Pass travel cards available for participants which can be freely charged and provide discounts on bus travel, tourist sites and some free gifts. (Click here for the pdf guide in Korean). To ensure you receive one please "attend" here on the Facebook event.
The Green Machine needs help from as many people as possible and tongs, gloves and bags will be provided. Two teams will be made, one moving upstream and the other downstream.
Captain Clean said this about the state of the river:
"The river that runs through Shin Jeju, 흘천, is DISGUSTING. I drove down, stopping at every bridge, and the amount of trash on the riverbed, undoubtedly heading for our oceans and beaches once monsoon is upon us, is staggering. Thanks in advance for KEEPING IT CLEAN!"
Important: Bring your own drinking water in a reusable bottle.
