Since North Korea’s missile and nuclear test over the past couple of weeks, tensions have been rising.

While some people are continuing with their lives as normal, other people (known as preppers) are preparing for the chance that things could go very, very wrong.

One video, filmed by Korean comedian Kang Yoo-mi, shows the star going through the survival bag that she has made.

Here is a look at what (according to Kang Yoo-mi) you need to make it through an apocalyptic situation.

Pick a sturdy backpack

But don’t make it to big or you won’t be able to carry it. Lots of pockets also seem to come highly recommended.

Firestarter whistle

Fire is key for heat and warmth and as such a way for starting fires is an absolute must. The kit Kang Yoo-mi chose also comes with a whistle.

10x disposable cutlery

You’ll be fine as long as you don’t have to eat more than 10 meals.

Portable saw

Useful for cutting food for your fire! Or, if things take a turn for the worse, “127 Hour” type situations.

Emergency shelter tent

A simple tent will keep you protected from the elements.

Portable raincoat

Useful for when, in the apocalyptic society, someone bigger and stronger than you steals your emergency shelter.

Mini first aid kit

As anyone who has played Resident Evil will know, a first aid kit is essential in a survival situation.

Emergency food supplies

Choose a selection so you don’t get bored. And remember, there will be no fire or water so stay away from the ramen!

Life straw

A real essential, your Life Straw can make contaminated water safe to drink.

Gas mask (and filters)

Your fine dusk mouth cover won’t suffice in an emergency situation. Ensure you have a full gas mask and filters.

Emergency blanket

Pack a couple of emergency blankets to stay warm through the winter, assuming you make it that far..

Radio flash light

Ensure that when help finally comes, you have a way of getting in touch.

Pen knife

Can you ever be prepared without a Swiss Army Knife?
