Jeju United beat Suwon Bluewings last night in a game that saw them move to within three points of the top of the K League.
While the result was great for Jeju, what was perhaps most noticeable about the game was the goal scored by their Australian CB Aleksandar Jovanović.
After receiving a pass just outside his own penalty area, he put his foot through the ball to send it forwards.
After going past the last defender, the ball bounced and then sailed over the onrushing goalkeeper and into the goal.
According to Jeju United, Aleks's shot came from a total of 82 meters away from the goal!
The rest of the game was an end to end battle between two of the top teams in the league.
Jeju scored another goal in the first half before Suwon pulled one back to make it 2-1.
Just after half-time Jeju midfielder, Yoon Bit-garam scored a goal of real quality (2:45 minutes on the above video) to put Jeju two goals ahead.
Suwon then started to put the pressure on Jeju and despite getting a man sent off, they managed to score a goal in the 84th minute to make it 3-2.
This made the last 6 minutes of the game pretty nervy for Jeju, but they managed to hold out for an important win!
Jeju's next game is at home against Sangju Sangmu on Saturday. This is followed by two home games against Gwangju on Oct. 01, and a top of the table clash with Jeonbuk on Oct. 08.
