The White House has confirmed that President Trump’s meeting with Moon Jae-in will take place on Nov. 7.
The bilateral summit is expected to include talks on how to strengthen the alliance between the two countries, as well as how best to deal with the North Korea issue.
During the trip, he will also visit American and South Korean service members and deliver a speech at the National Assembly where he is expected to call on the international community to join together in maximizing pressure on North Korea.
Not mentioned in the itinerary was the rumored trip to the DMZ, although this, of course, doesn't mean that it won’t take place.
According to the White House, Trump’s Asia trip will begin on Nov. 5 when he will fly to Japan. He will then visit Korea on Nov. 7 before moving on to China on Nov. 8.
Following this, he will travel to Danang in Vietnam on Nov. 10 and Manila on Nov. 12.
According to the statement, the President’s Asia trip will “The President’s travel will underscore his commitment to longstanding United States alliances and partnerships, and reaffirm United States leadership in promoting a free and open Indo-Pacific region.”
