Japan and China residents will enjoy a week-long holiday beginning April 30 and an estimated 16,000 tourists from the two countries are projected to visit Jeju according to Jeju tourism officials.

Some 6,000 Japanese will visit the island by both scheduled and charter flights during the holiday and more than 10,000 Chinese tourists are expected to fly in from seven cities, including Beijing, Shanghai and Hangzhou.

Jeju tourism officials plan to throw a series of welcome events with the Jeju Tourism Organization and airport authorities at the international terminal and key tourist sites on the island.
