Jeju Special Self-Governing Province has put aside 4.6 billion won in the 2013 budget to improve public transportation, such as bus stop facilities and installing air-conditioning in bus terminals.

Jeju Special Self-Governing Province was also selected among 25 municipalities for the Bus Information System (BIS) by the central government, which will see a further 1.2 billion won invested in Jeju buses.
