A new Foreign Culture Learning Center will be established in Shin Jeju and is expected to take a leading role in introducing foreign cultures to Jeju.

According to the Jeju Special Self-Governing Provincial Office of Education, the Foreign Culture Learning Center will open this coming May in the Jeju High School. The Learning Center is part of a regional project to build such centers as part of infrastructure-building for foreign language education in the Jeju Free International City.

The center will serve students and residents in New Jeju City and Aewol. It will be outfitted with a self-learning center, an English library, foreign language labs, a multi-media center, an interactive learning center and video rooms. Educational programs will be offered free to students and local residents.
