Jeju Shinhwa World Theme Park is set to open on Sept. 30. This means it will be able to take advantage of the ten-day Chuseok vacation.
The scale of the theme park is impressive with it covering a total of 280,000 square meters of land in the south-west of Jeju.
The theme park will be comprised of three different zones which Shinhwa World claim will take “the visitor into the depths of incredible myth as well as exploration into the ancient stories of medieval times.”
These zones will be filled with roller coasters, rides, exhibits, and live performances.
The theme park is just one part of the Shihwa World Resort which will also include hotels, a waterpark, a K-pop museum, a mall, villas, and a movie based theme park.
The first part of the resort to open was the Somerset Jeju Shinhwa World hotel which opened earlier this year. The theme park is the second, with the rest of the projects set to open by 2019 (and earlier).
When is Jeju Shinhwa World open?
The park itself will open on Sept. 30. After this, it will open every day of the year from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
How much are tickets?
Tickets will cost 39,000 won for an adult ticket or 35,000 won for a child’s ticket. Jeju residents are able to get a 10% discount.
There is also a family ticket currently available which lets you buy four tickets at kids prices.
