After all 58 sessions of the 7th Jeju Forum for Peace and Prosperity had come to an end during the early evening of June 2, many of the participants crammed into the Haevichi Hotel & Resort’s Grand Ballroom for the Closing Ceremony and Farewell Dinner. Originally to be hosted by the Chairman and CEO of the Jeju Free International City Development Center Byon Jong Il, he was unable to attend the event due to family business, said the M.C.
While over 3,100 people attended during the three-day forum, roughly half stayed for the final dinner. The entertainment for the evening was Shine, Electronic Fusion Band — a trio of young women musicians — who took to the stage and performed an eclectic mix of music from the Korean traditional song “Arirang” to Jennifer Lopez, and even a compilation of Michael Jackson tunes.
Along with playing music on a keytar, and electric violin and bass, the trio performed choreographed dance routines. The music was a mixture of modern styles with classical influences.
