Photographer Simon Powell will be interviewed on Saturday about his recent project to document the Seomun Market traders. He said this about the festival:
"There'll be plenty of music, food, cooking, workshops, arts and crafts, television and film, general shenanigans and a posse of Jeju's most interesting and creative cats."
The organizers also said this in a statement.
"We invite you to come and enjoy the “Jeju Seomun Market Global Festival” for a 60th anniversary feast! Seomun Market is one of the oldest and most famous Jeju traditional public markets. It is located in the historic heart of Jeju City and although it is small, it has been loved by the local community for the last six decades. We will provide lots of fun events, performances and workshops for you all to enjoy so we hope to see you there!"
