On a rainy Saturday morning on March 3, 20 Jeju Furey participants gathered together to receive their challenges for the PhotoHunt2 event. For this event, teams of four worked together, and with strangers, to take pictures of different challenges.
Teams had to make their own comic series, get a picture of Jeju’s provincial bird (the woodpecker in case you didn’t know), and pretend to be a rock-band using all “air” instruments and getting strangers to participate as the audience. From 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. the teams rushed around the city, checking off challenges and braving the less-than-cooperative weather.
Once time was up, participants re-convened at The BAR for dinner, telling stories about their day, and the viewing and judging of the pictures. Each picture completed was worth a certain amount of points and there were additional points awarded through the judging process. At the end of the day, Team PEACOCK (James Budd, Danielle LaBossiere, Jonathan Masters, and Park Solip reigned victorious as Jeju Furey’s PhotoHunt2 Champions.
Thanks to The BAR, The Jeju Weekly, Nanta Theatre, the JDC, and Dangchan Lab for their support and contributions to making this event happen. Jeju Furey would not thrive without the continued support of sponsors, participants, and friends. Thank you!
The proceeds from this event will benefit Jeju Furey’s three beneficiary families. For more information on Jeju Furey, its mission, and its beneficiaries, visit the website here.
